BASAMUK HEALTH CENTRE AND VCT This project has yet to commence. It will involve the construction of a small Rural Hospital and Houses to accommodate a Rural Doctor and health staff to serve the people who have been relocated for the large Nickel Mine processing plant being developed by the MMC of China.
The prioject will be largely funded by the Papua New Guinea National Government and assisted by the Ramu Nico Mine and the Melanesian Foundation.
Work cannot begin until the land is surveyed on the new township site on the Western side of the Gawar River close to the Raikos High School
